National Survey - Nurse Practitioners in Primary Health Care

The Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute (APHCRI) and Health Care Consumers Association ACT (HCCA) invite you to participate in a national survey about Australians’ perceptions of nurse practitioners in primary health care.

On 1 November 2010, nurse practitioners were given authority to access Medicare rebates and to prescribe some medications under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

In the light of this significant change in Australian primary health care, we would like to find out what you think and understand about the role of nurse practitioners.

We encourage as many people as possible to participate, so please tell your family, friends and colleagues.

This survey should take you about 10 minutes to complete and your answers will be completely anonymous. Your consent to participate in this research is implied through completion of this survey.

The information collected through this survey will be analysed and presented in a report to the Australian Department of Health and Ageing. In addition, the results will be published in scientific journals and a summary of the results will be published on the APHCRI and HCCA websites.
